For those who don’t know, Songkran (Thai new year) is a time for celebration - a celebration that involves water, water and even more water.
Each year, 1000s flock to Silom Road, RCA, Central World and Koah San, among other places, to engage in huuuuuge water fights. It’s a lot of fun and if you haven’t done it before, it’s certainly a unique experience worth trying at least once. Silom is the easiest to get to, and if they close the road off to traffic like in previous years, then there’s a bit more space to move around than the other locations.
If anyone is interested in forming a group to head there and get involved, then please send Alex a message and he’ll create a Songkran Line group where we can decide on a meeting place and time. There will be a lot of people there which will make it tricky to find one another, especially with phones locked away in waterproof bags. So perhaps meeting at Silom MRT would be easiest for all, or for those on the Sukhumvit side, going together from Asoke.
You can buy guns and refill them for a fee of 10-40 baht at the side of the road, but it may be best to come prepared.
